Crypto Software Firm President: We're Trying to Make California’s DMV More Efficient With Blockchain

Andrew Smith, president of Oxhead Alpha, discusses why his firm is using the Tezos blockchain to build out the protocol.

Do some people really like to get along with the official standard of state motor vehicle units? California, which has the highest number of car registrations in the UK, is likely to soon be able to apply blockchain technology to test car use rights and apply for registration.

McGinnis Smith, chief executive of password infrastructure company Oxhead Alpha, told WJB TV's First Mover on Thursday: "collaboration with the Motor vehicle Management Service seems to be the perfect combination of paper, and paper system software has always been bound to choose to improve productivity."

He added that Oxhead Alpha is committed to promoting agreements, product development and is switching to the Tezos blockchain so that our country is "stronger, faster [and] cheaper".

That's the part of the company that chose Tezos, Smith said. It can be summarized into three aspects: a responsible consensus algorithm, which can reduce bifurcation problems on the chain, and a generally strong security model. According to CoinMarketCap, Tezos ranks 40th in market capitalization at this stage.

Smith said that according to the Tezos block chain, the title of the paper car article will be reflected as the digital property on the chain.

"the data model we created on the blockchain is close to the end and we have to prove the level of each other," Smith said. " He says the car odometer is one of the ways to authenticate driver information.

Smith said the proof-of-concept test network conducted last week showed how strategic partnerships with state agencies can go smoothly. "the government actually has a very advanced idea," he said. "We want to have system software in production in the first quarter." Manufacturing, he explained, represents "a shadow ledger that will be our first step on the road to overall deployment." Most of the ledger will reflect the current driver database system in California.

But don't expect too much-transferring information to the chain doesn't eliminate the effectiveness of the DMV.

"the vehicle management office has not been removed from the transaction," Smith said. " Although end users can migrate, DMV is still regulated because it executes much like a third-party escrow contract.

He said that some things still need to be done according to vehicle ownership before real migration can be achieved, but using agreements based on blockchain can be done "digitally and asynchronously".

He says state lawmakers are uncertain about how they view the blockchain plan.

"I think they clearly see the separation between speculation and application. If you go into applications, you can explain the benefits that they bring, and you will see them, "he said." "they have seen the high cost of infrastructure construction and the maintenance of his aging [motor vehicle] infrastructure, and she is doing everything she can to send it to the future."

In May this year, Mayor Gavin Newsom signed an administrative regulation to promote blockchain technology. But in September, he vetoed a login password approval law that would create a Florida version of New York's BitLicense.
