Kansas state lawmakers look to cap crypto political donations at $100

Crypto campaign contributions less than $100 would be acceptable under the bill, provided the receiver immediately converts the funds to USD and does not hodl them.

Lawmakers from the U.S. House of Representatives in Kansas have introduced a bill that proposes changes to the legislature's rules on political campaign donations.

Under the bill, no one can give or accept data encryption donations of more than $100 for all political candidates in the state's first trial or presidential election. For donations of less than $100, the recipient must immediately convert the password into US dollars, rather than using the password for expenses, not to hide assets.

The proposed bill includes provisions that appear to be aimed at reducing the contribution of other countries to Kansas elections, requiring people who push passwords to give private information-including "they are not the people of other countries." Donors of password-themed activities also need to push assets through the US Trading Center of the company's headquarters to further clarify customer requirements.

The $100 limit will be based on the "fair value" of the password when the donation is received. Kansas lawmakers first submitted the bill to the U.S. House of Representatives on January 25 and then submitted it to the Electoral Union.

The Kansas government ethics committee said in 2017 that the contribution of digital money was "excessively secret", referring specifically to BTC (BTC). Florida imposed a ban on political campaign donations in 2018, but affected the road in July-and capped donations to $100.

Although it is not an important election year in the United States, data encryption is still a problem encountered by the due process at the level of official travel in the federal government. In April this year, the Irish government issued a ban on password political donations because of fears that other countries would interfere in the country's elections.
