Polygon to help fight NFT scams with Web3 infra protocol partnership

Polygon partners with Wakweli, a Web3 infrastructure protocol that issues certificates of authenticity for NFTs to certify originality.

Wakwell is a Web3 infrastructure construction protocol, which grants real valid certificates (NFT) for the inability to change dynamic passwords. This protocol has formally cooperated with the second layer extension service platform Polygon, so that NFT identity authentication can be realized.

The cooperation between Polygon and Wakwell I means that various digital currencies on Polygon will be compatible with Wakwell I's authentication system. According to the announcement, every new NFT project holder in the Polygon chain can apply for confirmation of the authenticity of each property information. The purpose of cooperation is to improve the security of digital ecosystem.

In order to reply to the customer's certificate certification cost, Antoine Sarrautt, the founder of Wakwell I, told Cointelegraph that it was necessary to leverage Waku-Wakwell I's utility dynamic password to build the certificate request. The amount of risk in the request lies in and is closely related to the level of trust required by each instance.

The strategic partnership and agreement negotiations between the two companies originated in August 2022, and the final details of the agreement were reached in March this year.

Wakwell's test network will go on sale in April and can be used with Polygon's Mumbai test network. Alpha testing with the Polygon main network will be gradual in the second quarter of 2023, and full adaptation with the main network is expected to be ready in the third quarter of 2023.

Sarraute explained that by providing it with media to test counterfeit NFT, the cooperation between the two companies opened up the final way to crack down on such fraudulent attempts, which in turn created a lot of trust in the fast-growing ecosystem.

The Wakwell I platform and application programming interface also give developers a good opportunity to browse high-end test case scenarios, including generating verification requests with one click when creating or browsing detailed real-name authentication information.

Over the past month, the Polygon Charitable Foundation has also partnered with Korean overseas group Rakuten Group to showcase the company's new NFT project.

Actively working with well-known brands such as Starbucks Coffee and Nike, Polygon has won great influence, resulting in more digital currency customers to use this Internet.
